Geno T. Zayid was the founder and principal attorney of the Law Offices of Geno T. Zayid, P.C., one of Metro Detroit’s premier personal injury law firms. Mr. Zayid established himself as the go-to Plaintiff’s attorney in automobile negligence, dog bite and slip and fall cases in the tri-county area.

Geno Zayid’s illustrious career reached its height in 1997 when he successfully argued before the Michigan Supreme Court in the case Bitar v. Wakim. Throughout the course of his career, he collected over 50 million dollars for injured clients.

Geno Zayid retired from the practice of law in 2000 after being diagnosed with a rare liver disease. After an unsuccessful liver transplant left him in a coma in 2004, he was told he had days to live. Unsatisfied with his apparent fate, Mr. Zayid fought for his life, underwent a second (and successful) liver transplant, and went on to make a miraculous recovery.

Geno Zayid intended to reopen the practice when his son, Justin Zayid, graduated law school. However, in 2009, Geno Zayid was diagnosed with cancer, and, unfortunately, he passed away in 2010.

Although Geno Zayid’s plans to partner with his son did not come to fruition, his lasting legacy built the foundation of Justin Zayid’s practice and ZAYID LAW P.C. Justin Zayid has carefully crafted his practice to cultivate the same sense of client-centric advocacy that made Geno Zayid one of Metro Detroit’s most successful lawyers.

ZAYID LAW honors Geno T. Zayid as a Partner Emeritus.
