Prescription Drugs

Michigan enforces laws against prescription drugs as harshly as it does illicit drugs. The potential for abuse in the pharmaceutical setting has caused the state to crackdown on prescription drugs and those who illegally obtain, use and abuse prescription scripts. As with any other drug crimes, the consequences are serious and life altering, including the following:

  • Loss of your driver’s license
  • A permanent criminal record
  • Risk of job loss of denial of rental housing
  • Revocation of your professional license (e.g. pharmacist, doctor, nurse, lawyer, or teacher).

If you have been charged with a prescription drug crime, it is critical to set up a legal defense as early as possible to preserve your rights and fight the charge. ZAYID LAW has experience defending individuals from the investigation stage through the conclusion of the case. The earlier we get involved, the better position we will be to defend your rights and ensure the best possible outcome.
